The nature reserve has areas affected by spruce bark beetle. Many spruce trees have died and may fall over time, so please be cautious and avoid visiting during windy weather.
The beetles only attack living trees and do not remain in dead wood. Dead trees are left in place to support biodiversity, as they provide important habitats for wildlife, mosses, and lichens.
Omschrijving
Torslunda is a small nature reserve located in Sigtuna municipality. In the eastern part, there are bogs and swamp forests.
Parts of the reserve are characterised by limestone soils. These areas harbour a rich flora, with plant species such as liverwort, wood sanicle, broad-leaved helleborine and blue-green sedge. There are also many rare and endangered fungi here, such as the witches cauldron.
Except for informational signs, there are no facilities for visitors. A number of narrow, unmarked paths run though the reserve.

Routebeschrijving
By car: Torslunda nature reserve is located along road 919 at Torsborg in Sigtuna municipality. There is no designated parking lot.
By public transit:
There is a bus stop at Pilsbo vägskäl, approximately 200 m from the nature reserve. Another bus stop is in Skråmsta,3 km east of the nature reserve. For current information about bus numbers and timetables, visit UL.se.
Regelingen
In order to protect the Torslunda nature reserve, please respect the following rules.
Within the reserve, it is forbidden to:
- dig, cut, drill or in any other way damage rock, soil or stone,
- break branches, fell or in any other way damage living or dead trees and bushes or dig up plants and fungi,
- camp for more than two consecutive nights,
- make a fire.
