We are now carrying out major restoration work to recreate meadows and pastures in Häverö prästäng. We will remove brushwood and spruce trees to favor large deciduous trees and pines. Then the area will be cleaned up, so that the grazing animals can be released into the area. Their grazing and trampling will benefit both flora and fauna. In the long run, it will be beautiful and rich in species! Welcome to enjoy this beautiful picnic area overlooking the water. There is a fire pit and space for 1-3 tents.
Firewood for the grill is stored by the entrance/parking lot.

Routebeschrijving
Public transportation: Häverö Prästäng is far from public transportation. The nearest bus stop is in Herräng, about 5 km from the reserve. See current information about public transportation at:sl.se.
By car: Drive towards Hallstavik and then towards Herräng, at the entrance to Herräng take the exit towards Mörtö. After about 600 meters turn left and then follow the signs to Prästängen.
Regelingen
To protect Häverö Priest Meadow Nature Reserve, there are rules you must follow.
In the reserve it is forbidden to
- burn, drill, chisel, paint or otherwise damage rocks and boulders
- dig up plants or damage living or dead trees or bushes
- deliberately disturbing wildlife
- bring dogs, cats or other pets that are not leashed
- camping on grassland
- camping or anchoring a boat for more than 2 consecutive days in the same place
- make an open fire
- riding a horse
- drive a motorized vehicle other than on designated roads and paths
- park motor vehicles other than in a designated parking lot.
