Laurivaara nature reserve is a hilly area with pine moors and spruce-covered Mountains. North of the reserve you find the mire Juokivuoma and east you find lake Juokijärvi. There are no trails in this 7.5 square kilometres large area.

This reserve lies 22 kilometres southeast of Vittangi. There is a gravel road from the village Parakka leading to the reserve.

The nature reserve is located about 22 kilometers southeast of Vittangi. A forest road from Parakka leads to the nature reserve.
Regelingen
All regulations can be found in the reserve decision. It is allowed to:
- camping
- hiking
- picking berries and edible mushrooms
- make a fire, remember to bring your own firewood
- drive snowmobiles on well-snow-covered ground
- fish and hunt in accordance with the laws in force.
It is not allowed to dig up or pick the orchids. Remember to respect the right of public access and protect nature.
