The Vallaviken picnic area is located in the Bokhultet nature reserve right next to Södra (south) Bergundasjön Lake. The area includes a jetty, grilling area, lavatories and parking. It’s a good place for people who want to rest their legs after a hike in the reserve, or for those who would enjoy a good barbeque. The picnic area is right off the trail that runs around the entire lake. It’s a perfect place for those who would like to launch their canoe and enjoy an adventure on the lake.

Vallaviken's rest area is located in the northeastern part of Bokhultets nature reserve and Södra Bergundasjön.
Regelingen
You are welcome to visit the nature reserve, but please note that it is not allowed to:
- damage natural objects or surfaces, for example by digging, drilling, hacking or painting
- fell, cut, pull up, pick or otherwise damage living or dead trees, shrubs, plants, fungi, mosses or lichens (berries, herbs and terrestrial edible fungi may be picked for domestic use)
- collect insects, shells, worms or other animals without the approval of the Reserve Manager
- drive or park a motorized vehicle or trailer other than on the designated road and parking area
- stay overnight without the approval of the Reserve Manager
- make a fire other than in a designated, prepared fireplace
- disturbing wildlife by, for example, approaching a nesting site
- operate jet skis, hovercrafts, water skis, paragliders or drones
- from April 1 to July 31, stay in the areas shown on the map (see pdf under "More information")
- fish with nets or fixed gear
- bring an unleashed dog with the exception of the working dog club's training area (see pdf under "More information") or an area designated by the manager through signage
- anchor, moor or moor a boat (or other vessels) for more than one day in a place other than at piers designated by Växjö municipality
- after 2020, drive a boat with a two-stroke engine.
Other legislation on what you are allowed to do in the forest and land also applies in the nature reserve.
