Omschrijving
The church, which is likely the third in Tannåker, was built in 1793 by Nils Widman from Össlöv in Berga parish. Its predecessor was a wooden church that was in too poor condition.
The current stone church, built in neoclassical style, consists of a rectangular nave with a straight-ended chancel in the east, a sacristy in the north, and a wooden porch in front of the western entrance. There is also an entrance in the middle of the south side.
The interior is of the hall church type. The chancel window is flanked by two strong pilasters. Above the window arch is the inscription: ÄRA VARE GUD I HÖJDEN (Glory to god in the highest). In 1941, the pews were painted in their current colors of blue-green, ochre yellow, and marbling. The gallery barrier was then given a pink hue. Previously, the interior is said to have been painted in white and gold.
