Vissjöns fiskevårdsområde

Vissjön is on the border between the municipalities Älmhult and Ljungby. The lake is shallow and famous for its pike fishing. You can also find bass, vendace, beam and other species.

The right of public access (allemansrätten) applies both on land and water but does not cover fishing. For fishing in Vissjön you need a permit (fiskekort), which you can buy online through www.ifiske.se or at the Tourist information at the Service center in the Town hall.

In some waters there are areas which are excluded from fishing, either temporary or permanently. Always make sure to look up what rules apply to the specific area you are interested in.
