Gärdslevargen's hut is one of Älmhult's legendary places. Here you can stop for a break and read about this legend. Unfortunately, the hut burned down in September 2020 and now only the foundation can be seen for those who want to stay here and rest for a while.
The story is that: "The hut is located where Älmhult municipality borders Skåne and Blekinge and the stones are as big as houses. The name was given to Gärdslevargen (1840-1901) because he cut wooden poles into fences and that he screamed and howled like a wolf when he walked in the forest. Gärdslevargen was once hired to murder the magician Johannes… "
