The development of the Bäckaslöv district is taking place in stages, with a new esplanade from Söderleden opening to traffic in June 2022. The Bäckaslöv urban development project is expected to have around 1,200 homes, offices, shops and a new primary school when the whole area is fully developed. At the end of 2023, a 1-kilometer-long pedestrian and cycle path was opened, connecting the stretch between Bergsnäsviken and Bäckaslövs-esplanaden. At the same time, a 1,700-meter-long electric light trail with sensor-controlled LED lighting was opened in Bäckaslövskogen, providing safe exercise in an everyday forest environment.

Get out into beautiful forests with lush green areas in spring and summer. At the same time, enjoy the beach zones next to Norra Bergundasjön and visit the swimmable Bergsnäsviken. There is a new electric light trail and a number of trails that can be connected to loops based on your own taste of surface and length. Everyday nature that is open for excursions all year round. Remains from the time as a military training area for the I11 regiment are visible from time to time.
