Vandringsled, Bottnaryds urskog

The Bottnaryd Primeval Forest Nature Reserve is a very old coniferous forest, marked by age and wind. The pine trees are thick and twisted. Dead trees and fallen trees lie untouched, telling the story of how they were once defeated by the forces of nature.

Bottnaryds Urskog is located just east of the community of Bottnaryd, within the so-called Bottnarydsfältet glacial river deposits. Parts of the forest grow on a clearly marked boulder ridge, and the nature reserve also includes a raised bog and a small pond.
