Konstverk Peace (Bänk i Bänkarnas stad)

The artwork ‘Peace’
is the second bench in the ‘Bänkarnas stad’ (City of Benches) project. It was
donated by Nivika Fastigheter AB and designed by artist Fredrik Wretman. The
name ‘Peace’ comes from the shape of the bench, which from above forms a peace
mark that will be visible on Google Earth.

The Peace bench was
cast in Italy from Swedish artificial stone, known as terrazzo, and weighs 8
tonnes. It is 270 centimetres in diameter, 135 centimetres high and located
west of River Lagan at Åkroken. The bench was inaugurated on 26 May 2018.

The ‘Peace’ bench is
