Enskällaboberg

Enskällaboberg is one of the highest viewpoints in the western part of Värnamo municipality. It was previously called "Pingstaberg", as people traditionally gathered there during the Whitsun weekend. Under a large moving block, a cave-like room has emerged. The cave is associated with the legends of the giant Enskälle, who is said to have made several giant throws into Bredaryd from Enskällaboberg. The giant Enskälle lived on the mountain and was angry with the church in Bredaryd. Fortunately, the thrown boulders missed the church and landed in forests and meadows instead.

The place with the mountain is a nice place for an excursion. Bring a picnic and sit on top and enjoy the view!
