Omschrijving
On the southwest slope of Bodberget there is a natural spruce forest. Old spruces with rough bark that can be 200 years old are draped in twig lichen. Due to its long continuity, the spruce forest has created dead wood in the form of high stumps, dry branches and flames. Decomposing spruce logs are a prerequisite for finding wood fungi worthy of protection, such as the rose thistle, border thistle and patch thistle. Large aspens with impressive breast height diameters can be found in the north and in the steeper parts. They are often home to various wood fungi and lichens worthy of protection, such as the aspen tick and various aspen jelly lichens.

Routebeschrijving
Follow road E45 south from Hoting. After about 1 mile turn left towards Björksjönäset. After about 4 kilometers along this road, turn left and drive about 1 kilometer into the new road until you come to a worse forest road to the right. From there you have to go on foot, along the forest road the last kilometer to the nature reserve.
Regelingen
Welkom in het Amalia Woud. De reserve mag niet:
- Klim in de bewoner of blijf bewust dichter bij roofvogel, lya of pot dan 100 meter,
- een impact hebben op land, blokken, vegetatie, droge bomen of ander dood hout;
- het produceren van motorvoertuigen op het terrein,
Andere regels zijn van toepassing als u enigerlei activiteit in het gebied wilt uitoefenen, zie de huidige reservebesluiten voor volledige regelgeving. Er kunnen ook andere wetten te overwegen, zoals de Rendier Act.
