Moränget naturreservat

There is a mosaic of forest and marshland. The groundwater is calcareous, which affects the vegetation. As a result, there are several different types of vegetation and a great diversity of flora. The most prominent is the stately guckuskon.

There are some open marshes with rich vegetation. There are unusual mosses that benefit from lime. In addition, the rare and red-listed moss Hamatocaulis cernicosus has been found. Vascular plants include grass wool, King Charles's sceptre, spurge, needlestar and others.

On a larger scale, there is sparse spruce-covered bog edge and woodland scrub vegetation as well as sparse swamp forest, also here with strong lime influence. The most species-rich flora is found in these areas, with guckuskon as the highlight.
