Kliberg naturreservat

The reserve is 3 hectares in size and consists of the coniferous forest on Klibergstoppen and the escarpment with grassland to the east. The steep eastern side is what gives the area character. Here the view over the forest landscape and towards Siljan and Siljansnäs is breathtaking.

The coniferous forest dominates, but there are elements of deciduous trees on the steep slopes with grassland. The forest has been left untouched for a long time and this provides conditions for a variety of species of lichens, mosses and wood fungi to thrive. This in turn creates good habitats for woodpeckers, for example.
