Ätradalsleden, Ulricehamn - Tranemo

Stage 2: Ulricehamn - Tranemo (36 km)

The second stage of the Ätradalsled is 36 km long and runs from Ulricehamn to Tranemo. The trail largely follows a car-free embankment and takes you through a varied nature with lake views, leafy hills and miles of forests. Along the route there are plenty of rest areas as well as accommodation, restaurants and attractions.

Ulricehamn offers a cozy center with cobbled streets, small shops and many cafes and restaurants. There are also several accommodation options and a beautiful cold bathhouse by Lake Åsunden. The stage runs parallel to Sjuhäradsrundan and is clearly signposted all the way to Tranemo.

Along the trail you pass Korpeboberg's deciduous forests - a scenic nature reserve with a viewpoint and barbecue facilities - and Vegby with a campsite and bathing area. In Månstad you cycle through open farmland and can stop for coffee or visit a mini nature center. From Månstad, detours are also recommended to Hofsnäs Manor and Torpa Stone House, one of Sweden's best preserved manors from the 16th century. On the way to Tranemo, the trail also passes Skårtebo nature reserve and the remains of the medieval defense castle Opensten.
