Beskrivelse
The stone church in Skerike is one of the oldest in the Västerå region, built around 1200, and its long history is clearly visible in the building. From the Middle Ages, the steep roof and the stately cross on the east wall stand out. The windows of the nave were enlarged in the 1750s and, unusually, the cast-iron frames have survived from that time. The sacristy was added at the same time, while the tower was added in the early 1870s.
