Beskrivelse
Östringby gives you a chance to look into the enchanted world of the big forest. It is a reserve for cozy walks and exciting encounters with forest animals. Stop and listen to the sounds that the forest and its animals create. For those interested in plants, there is much to discover in Östringby. In the fall, you can fill your mushroom basket with the delights of the forest.
There are two hiking trails in the reserve. The southern loop goes from the parking lot to Lake Andfluckorna and back. At Andfluckorna you can eat your lunch at the rest area. The loop is about 1.4 kilometers long.
To the north, there is the Kronmosseslingan trail, which starts from the visitor center at the Rörbosjön nature reserve. This loop is about 2.7 kilometers long. The loop takes you up to Kronmossborgen, the highest point in the area. The slopes up the mountain are rocky and steep, but once at the top you are met by gnarled pines and low-growing spruces and a rest area. Here you can sit down and rest before continuing the hike. Take the opportunity to look at the shingle field that once stood on a beach where waves from the ice sea washed in.
The crown moss loop and the southern loop are also connected by an 800 meter long path.

The nature reserve is located along the road between Skultuna and Västerfärnebo, about 4 kilometers southwest of Fläckebo church. From Skultuna you go north, past Svanå, and on towards Västerfärnebo. After about 14 kilometers you will arrive at Östringby. The reserve is then on your right. The reserve's parking lot is on your left. You can also get to the area by following the road signs from Fläckebo towards Skultuna. After about 6 kilometers you arrive at Östringby and then have the reserve on your left. You can also park at the visitor center at Rörbosjön. From the visitor center you enter the forest in the Östringby nature reserve.

Welcome to visit the nature reserve!
There are rules that you as a visitor must follow. The rules are there to protect the area's natural values.
In addition to what otherwise applies, it is forbidden to:
- dig, hack, carve, paint or otherwise damage the earth's surface or solid natural objects such as rocks and boulders,
- drive a motorized vehicle
- felling or otherwise damaging living or dead trees and shrubs, and damaging vegetation or natural objects in general, for example by burning dead wood, collecting herbs, grasses, mosses, fungi or lichens, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms for domestic use
- collecting insects or other invertebrates.
