Fullerö is located about 7 kilometers south of Västerås. From Västerås: Turn off the E18 at exit 130, at the sign "Väg 66" and "Sälen och Fagersta". Follow the sign for "Hamnen" and then the sign for "Tidö-Lindö och Barkarö". Drive about 9.8 kilometers and you have the reserve on both sides of the road.

There are rules that you as a visitor must follow. The rules are there to protect the area's natural values.

It is forbidden to:

• break branches, cut down or otherwise damage living or dead trees and shrubs, and damage vegetation in general, for example by digging up plants,
• climbing bamboo trees
• deliberately killing or harming amphibians and reptiles
• using a radio, gramophone, tape recorder or similar device in a disruptive manner
• setting fires
• camping
• bring an unleashed dog or other stray pet
• drive a motorized vehicle other than on public roads,
• set up a caravan, motor home or trailer,
• put up a board, sign, inscription, poster or similar device
• ride a horse other than on a public road
• collecting insects and other invertebrates
• marking out tracks or organizing orienteering
• organizing a motorcycle race, shooting competition, orienteering competition or training therefor.
