Storkittelrundan

Perfect tour for young and old adventurers or for those who want to make an easier day trip. The tour can also be combined with a summit ascent of Storkittelhobben/ Kungsliftens top.

Storkittelrundan starts at the Hemavan Gondola top station. From the top station, take the trail to the Storkittelhobben/Kungsliften summit trail but stop after 1 km at Storkitteltjärn or Pulktjärn as it is called by the locals. Here you will find a good place for a snack and a lovely view of the mountains. Then follow the marked and signposted trail at the northwest end of the lake, it takes you down over rolling mountain heaths and connects to the King's Trail. Follow the King's Trail back to Hemavan Gondola (from Storkitteltjärn 2, 5 km).

The tour is 3.5 km and takes about 2 hours with start and finish at the Hemavan Gondola top station.

It is also possible to start the hike at Naturum Vindelfjällen Hemavan. Follow the King's Trail to the Gondola top station, about 3 km one way.
