Saxnäs is located along Vildmarksvägen, which starts from Vilhelmina. You follow signs for Klimpfjäll and Saxnäs and it takes about 1.5 hours by car from Vilhelmina. With Länstrafiken Västerbotten you can take bus 420 from Vilhelmina to Saxnäs, but check the timetables carefully, which are often adapted to the times of the school transport.
To get to Vilhelmina, we recommend trying the Inlandsbanan, which during the summer months runs from Mora in the south or Gällivare in the north. Otherwise, there are daily buses to Vilhelmina from Umeå, Östersund and from Storuman in the north.
