It is possible to stay overnight in the cottage. The standard is very simple with a fireplace and wooden bunks to sleep on. Bring a sleeping bag and sleeping mat.
Dinner can be picked up in Dalsån for those who have a fishing license (sold by Vilhelmina Övre Allmänning). A nice flower meadow is located below the cottage.
You reach Slåtterstugan via an approximately 2.5 km long marked trail that starts from the road between Matsdal and Dikanäs.
