Östra Vitnjulstugan Vindelfjällen

The cottage is beautifully located in the mountain birch forest by the Vindel River 1-2 days upstream of Ammarnäs.

Cost: Overnight stay costs SEK 250 per person per night. Payment is made in connection with booking the key. Children 0-15 years stay for free. The fee is used for cabin maintenance, equipment and firewood.

The cottage: 6 beds and 2 sleeping slaves in the barn.

The cottage has a wood stove, kitchen equipment, mattresses, pillows and blankets. Bring sheets or sleeping bag. You as a visitor clean up after yourself and carry in wood from the wood store to the next guest. Don't forget to splinter sticks that are easy to make a fire with.

Dogs are allowed in the cottage, but they must not lie on mattresses or blankets. Also, do not use kitchen equipment as a food bowl.

The wood-burning stove in the cabin is small, with room for a pot. For cooking, it can be good to have a storm kitchen or similar with you.

**Safety space: ** The cottage's living room is an unlocked safety space with 2 wooden beds (no cushion / mattress) + stove. Otherwise, the cottage is locked.

Excursion tips: Above Vitnjul västra there is a bridge over the Vindel River and from here you can go on a summit climb to Slieruotjåhkka and Ruepsgájssie. The area has ultrabasic rocks and interesting flora, e.g. abundance of the rare Polar meadow Poa artica. On the slopes of Vignjaltjåhkka behind Vitjulstugan grows Lappish alpros Rhododendron lapponicum.
