Naturstig Sågátje/Sakkats Vindelfjällen, 2 km

An easy detour to experience the magic of the primeval forest is at lower Boksjön. Park your car in the gravel parking lot and head out into Kirjesålandet. There are two trails, 2 km and 4 km. They branch off after a few hundred meters and then you can choose which one you want to walk.

Hike up along the mountain Sågátje/Sakkats through magical spruce forest with hanging lichens. Fallen trees lie scattered in the forest. Here and there, fires once raged and burned up the forest. Today, the birches have come back and the spruces will soon be on their way. At the top of the hill, the forest opens up and provides views of a vast forest landscape. Maybe it's time for a coffee break. Who knows, maybe a jay will come by and visit you during your break? There is a picnic table and an outhouse at the parking lot.
