Magasjöstugan Vindelfjällen

Magasjöstugan is part of an old homestead and is located on a hay meadow. You can get here by boat across Lake Magasjön and then on foot about 500 meters.

The cottage has two rooms, one of which is locked. In the unlocked part there are 2 bunk beds.

The cottage is partially unlocked and overnight stays are free. It is simple accommodation with beds, stove, table and chairs. Bring all your own equipment. It is not possible to book the room or the beds.

Offer a place to sleep to new guests if you have already stayed one night. Hikers and skiers have priority for sleeping places.

You as a visitor clean up after yourself and carry firewood from the wood store to the next guest. Firewood is available as meter wood. Do not forget to splinter sticks that are easy to make a fire with.

Dogs are allowed in the hut.

Excursion tips: A trip up Magafjället gives a view of Kirjesålandet's spruce forests and lakes while the mountains tower up in the west. Follow the path towards Rödingträsket and after about 2 km turn off up towards the mountain. The path is difficult to find and you need to keep clear.
