Ekorrhimmeln is well worth a visit for those seeking beautiful views and ancient forests. The terrain is steep and challenging at times, but the reward is a view from one of the three peaks Mattaberget, Tjärnberget and Ekorrhimmeln that are located in the area.

Veibeskrivelse
The nature reserve is located about 4 kilometers north of the village of Strömsund. The area is reached via road E12 from Storuman via a turn-off at Strömsund. After 4 kilometers, turn right onto Västra Ekorrhimmelvägen, which leads to the reserve. Note that the road is a forest road that can be difficult to access during parts of the year.
