Beskrivelse
The view tower at Storhöjden has a vast view of Värmlands Bergslag. 330 m above sea level. Adjacent to the tower is Big Hill Lodge with a café.
History: In the spring of 1932, Filipstad Gille decided that they would build a view tower at Storhöjden.
On January 14, the following year, decision were made. The construction had been estimated at 5,566. To get funding for the financing, the gill arranged a winter market on 3 and 4 March and received a net of 6,516 and 95 öre.
The building started in the summer of 1934 and on September 9th the view tower was opened.
Today you will find Big Hill Lodge at the foot of the tower, where you can take a swedish fika (coffie and cake, woffel).
