"Flygaren" by Lorraine Rantala
The sculpture "Flygaren" (The Aviator) depicts a figure lying on their back, balancing another figure on their upstretched feet. The casting mould was made from wood, and the structure of the timber is visible on the sculpture’s black cast-iron surface.
Artist: Lorraine Rantala
Lorraine Rantala was born in the United States. She studied at Kyrkerud Folk High School in Värmland and works as a sculptor. She has created a number of public artworks throughout Värmland.
