Klarälvens FVOF

Fishing along the beautiful Klarälven and other smaller lakes in Munkfors.

This fishing license allows you to fish along Klarälven within Munkfors municipality and other smaller lakes like Västra Sundtjärn.

Grayling, trout, perch and pike can be caught with bait fishing, fly or spin fishing. Klarälv-trout was implanted in Västra Sundtjärn 2022.

Minimum measurement of grayling is 35 centimeters, 35 centimeters for trout and 50 centimeters for salmon (only salmon with cut fins may be retained).

Fishing is at its best between May 15 and September 15, with the exception of lake which is caught during the December spawning season.

Note! Crayfish fishing is prohibited from 2023-01-01 to prevent the spread of crayfish plague.

Fishing trails, shelters and camp sites are available around the bigger lakes and along Klarälven. Canoes can be rented at Storängens camping.

Fishing licenses can be purchased at ifiske, Munkfors-Ransäter tourist information, Ransäters hembygdsgård, OKQ8 and Frendo.
