Hasselbladsgården

This is one of the city's last examples of an enclosed courtyard. The log house, with its yellow moulding facing the street and red clapboard facing the courtyard, was built at the beginning of the 19th century and painted in a typical manner in different colors. The granite plinth gives the house weight - literally.

Many people have lived here, traded a lot, and told more stories than you can imagine. The market hustlers and the candy seller "Plutta" are said to have lived here. There have been many shops in the corner, including "Elis på hörnan", a popular shop among Kristinehamn residents.
