How did a coal miner live? At Fjällnora, an old coal-mining environment has been built up. Come and take a look inside the collier's hut! This is what it might have looked like when the charcoal burner lived here a hundred years ago, alone by his mila. On Fjällnora Day, which is held on the first Saturday in September, a small model of a coal mila is set up next to the coal hut.

Around the forests of Uppland, a lot of coal has been burned for several hundred years. It continued right into the 1940s. In Fjällnora, four old coal bunkers have been found, but there were probably many more. Being a collier was a tiring and lonely job. The charcoal burner lived alone in his hut next to the mile and guarded the mile so that it did not catch fire.

Accessibility: The path from the parking lot to Kolarkojan is wide and easy to walk. You can walk here with a stroller. The rest of Kolarstigen is a normal forest path.
