Hälsans stig - Östhammar

The red boathouses you pass date from the mid-18th century. At the end of the 19th century, it became fashionable to go to a "bathing resort". In the area south of the boathouses, a Societetshus was built near the hot and cold bathhouses that existed on the islet outside. At the bottom of Södra Tullportgatan was the Customs House - Captain Zetterman's farm. The house was the first to be rebuilt after the Russians burned down all the houses except the church in 1719.
