Aspnäs naturreservat

The Aspnäs farm is located right by Tämnaren and dates back to the Middle Ages. Here is an idyllic, grazed cultural landscape with erect deciduous trees and flowering fields. From one of the headlands you can watch the bird life in the lake.

In spring, the ground in Aspnäs is covered by a carpet of cowslips. Here and there, rocky outcrops stand out and the fragrant almond flowers thrive there. The shallow Tämnaren is a fine bird lake with lots of resting migratory birds during spring and fall. In summer, a large number of species nest in the reeds surrounding the lake. The open meadows, which are partly flooded, are also important for many birds.

It is easy to walk in Aspnäs. The paths are separated from the grazing animals and once out by the water there are barbecue areas, tables and benches. You can walk 400 m to a headland with a picnic area, or 500 m to a headland with a picnic area and fire pit. You can also swim here. There is another barbecue area further north. If you find it difficult to move, you can visit the church, which is surrounded by well-mown lawns and paved paths.
