Hostels and guest houses

On an island in Dalsland's canal, at Långbron's lock, surrounded by a beautiful park-like garden is Kanalvillan, which was previously the official residence of canal directors. Now it is a guest house and hostel dating back almost 150 years. The main building has ten rooms. Single, double, triple and quadruple rooms with washbasins. Showers and toilets are located centrally, as well as dining rooms and lounges. On the island there is also Sjöstugan with two-, three- and six-bed rooms, all with shower and toilet. Sjöstugan also houses a complete self-catering kitchen with dining room.

The conference villa with robust interior is located along the canal and has a wonderful view of Lake Långbrohöljen. The beautiful garden has several patios with seating areas, piers, a dock and a lakeside barbecue area.

Experiences and adventures

There are a variety of experiences and activities such as canoeing with canoes, kayaks or large canoes for 11 or 16 people. Group development course, dressin canoe packages and passenger boat tours. You can fish, hike or visit attractions such as Baldernäs manor, the aqueduct in Håverud, Halmens hus in Bengtsfors etc.

Breakfast is served daily during the high season and for groups our kitchen offers everything from home cooking to three-course dinners throughout the year. During the summer months we also offer barbecue evenings.
