Ramnässkogen can be reached on foot or by bike from Ramnäs. Follow Åshammarvägen past Bäckhammarskolan eastwards. Pass the railroad crossing and enter the electric light track at the power station.

By car, drive from Ramnäs north on road 668. After about 1 kilometer turn right towards sign Västerfärnebo 22. Drive 300 meters. Turn right onto a forest road. Drive about 2 kilometers until you come to a three-way intersection. Turn right towards parking.

There are rules that you as a visitor must follow. The rules are there to protect the area's natural values.

It is forbidden to:

• dig, cut, carve, paint or otherwise damage the earth's surface or fixed natural objects such as rocks or boulders,
• drive or set up motorized vehicles and trailers other than on an existing forest road or parking lot,
• bring an unleashed dog or other stray pet,
• felling or otherwise damaging living or dead trees and shrubs, and damaging vegetation or natural objects in general, for example by burning dead wood, collecting herbs, grasses, mosses, fungi or lichens, with the exception of berries and edible mushrooms for domestic use,
• collecting insects or other invertebrates
• permanently marking tracks.

In addition, it is forbidden without the permission of the County Administrative Board:

• use the area for organized competitions or exercises, camp activities or the like, where the number of participants exceeds 200 people.
