Fågeltorn Mingen

Double in the bird tower at the sister lakes Mingen and Skrängstasjön! The bird lakes in Njurunda are well-known bird migration areas. For example, several different species of dabbling ducks and grebes rest when the ice thaws. Around mid-May, several different wader species are often seen. In some years, cranes can be seen on the northern stretch in fairly significant numbers. Several species of birds of prey also pass by. The breeding bird fauna offers species such as brown duck and brown harrier, possibly also water rail, moorhen and gray partridge. Reed warblers and swifts are plentiful in the reeds. In the surroundings of Mingen nest lark falcon, black-throated reed warbler and long-tailed tit. A large number of species unusual for Medelpad have been noted here over the years.
