Beskrivelse
Rosslavallen is a place of old pines. Here you can find 200 to 300 year old pines. They grew in the 18th and 19th centuries. This close to the coast, it is unusual to find old, untouched forests, as there has been a great demand for timber from industry and from people in the area. The area is located 6 kilometers south of Harmånger and covers 9 hectares. If you want to take a walk, you need to be sure-footed. The ground beneath the trees is full of large boulders and rocks.
Bring a magnifying glass and look at all the beautiful shapes and colors among mosses and lichens. In the middle of the area, the dry pine forest is replaced by a small wetland full of alder.
The deciduous trees attract insects and birds, so it's not impossible that you'll see a woodpecker hammering on a log.

The nature reserve is located 6 kilometers south of Harmånger.
Forskrifter
Special rules apply within the nature reserve. It is not allowed to:
- damage any solid object or surface formation
- damage to the forest stand, dead standing or fallen trees, rice, herbaceous or ground vegetation
- driving a motorized vehicle on the terrain
- deliberately disturbing wildlife, damaging or removing endangered or rare plants or animals
- camping, burning or taking firewood.
