Whether you visit the national park to hike, fish, bird-watch or just relax, you can count on an extraordinary nature experience.
Färnebofjärden's high biological and aesthetic values make this part of the Nedre Dalälven worth protecting as a national park. The bay is uniquely composed with a myriad of life in a mosaic of special environments. Shore marshes, river meadows, floodplains and old-growth forest provide visitors with unforgettable nature experiences.
The periodic floods leave a strong mark on the national park and the lobed contour surrounds more than 200 islands and skerries. Marshes and coniferous forests with a northern character meet southern deciduous forests with elements of oak and lime.

Forskrifter
Without an exemption from the regulations, it is prohibited within the national park to:
- construct a jetty, mooring buoy or fixed mooring place for a boat.
- damage, carve or paint on rock, soil, boulders or stones.
- breaking branches, felling or damaging living or dead trees and bushes
- harming or disturbing wildlife, climbing nest trees or being near a bird of prey's nest, lair or burrow
- drive a motorized vehicle or park except on roads intended for motorized traffic or parking lots
- operate a motorboat or other motorized craft at a speed greater than 7 knots, except within an area 50 meters wide marked on the map in Annex 1, where the maximum speed is 12 or 20 knots
- operate personal watercraft
- operate a motorboat or other motorized craft in Tiån, Tisjön, Östasjön, Kölforsån or Lillån.
- ride water skis, wakeboard or similar after a motorboat or other motorized craft.
- take off or land with an aircraft, such as a drone
- fly closer to the ground than 300 meters.
- bring an unleashed dog or other pet that is not leashed. Exceptions apply to dogs when hunting is permitted in the national park.
- during the period 1 January - 31 July, enter or travel within areas marked with a sign prohibiting access. In the case of islands, the ban also applies within 100 meters of these.
- ride a horse or bicycle, except on roads and parking lots.
Without permission from the county administrative board, it is forbidden within the national park to:
- place a sign, board, poster, orientation control, cordon, marking or similar.
- picking, collecting or digging up plants (including mosses, lichens and wood-living fungi)
- camping or erecting a shelter (or similar device) except in the designated area
- make fires, except in designated areas. However, the use of open-air kitchens and barbecues is permitted.

En mycket trevlig nationalpark! Väldigt stor, så med fördel transportera sig runt med bil till de olika platserna, räkna med två dagar för att se det mesta! Nationalparken gör sig bra i februari/mars innan all snö smälter och de blir ”översvämningar”. Trevliga grillplatser med mycket ved under denna period! Även mycket spår av djur i snön! Trevlig nationalpark!
