Exterior

The building’s facades are clad in gray-painted tongue-and-groove siding. The corners and eaves are lined with white-painted boards; the windows and doors have white trim. The church now stands on a concrete foundation with copper sheet edging. Differences in ground level are compensated for by stone steps at the entrances.

Interior

The nave has a vaulted ceiling, slightly pointed, lined with white-painted boards. The vaults form a cross vault at the center of the transepts. In 1885, the vaults were covered with plaster, but serious problems led to the restoration of the original design with white-painted boards in the early 1990s. The walls are plastered and whitewashed. A gray-painted wainscot runs around the nave, featuring baseboards, moldings, and mirrors set into decorative recesses. The wainscoting was added in 1908 and consists largely of the doors from the former fixed pews, which were reused for this purpose during the church’s renovation.

The pulpit is stylistically consistent with the altarpiece and likely dates from around 1830
