A longer stage between Vårdnäs and Hovetorp on the west side of lake Stora Rängen (via Stafsäter).
You walk through several nature reserves with beautiful deciduous forests and oak landscapes as well as cultural and historical environments such as Vårdnäs and Stafsäter. The finish of the stage is at the Kinda canal's biggest attraction – the Hoverops locks in a beautiful leafy area. The locks have a height difference of 15.8 metres, a triple lock and a single lock with a basin between them. Do not miss it.
Shelter is available near the locks in Hovetorp
Along the stage, you will come across orange arrows with two mirrored R's. These mark the Rängen Runt, a 4.3 mile round loop that can conveniently be done over several days. Here you can read more about hiking suggestions
