Östra Skrukeby kyrka

Here you can find traces of the early missionary period, a gravestone with runic inscriptions, and a medieval wrought-iron door. Although the old medieval church has undergone extensive renovations over the centuries, parts of the Romanesque church remain. The 18th-century renovation gave the interior a late-Gothic character. The altarpiece by Pehr Hörberg (1804) depicts the young Jesus teaching in the temple. The church features a Schiörlin organ renowned for its quality and tone, as well as an old, carefully restored Steinway & Sons grand piano. A vespers service is held every Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
