The nature reserve has areas affected by spruce bark beetle. Many spruce trees have died and may fall over time, so please be cautious and avoid visiting during windy weather.
The beetles only attack living trees and do not remain in dead wood. Dead trees are left in place to support biodiversity, as they provide important habitats for wildlife, mosses, and lichens.

To protect the Three Hills Nature Reserve, there are rules you must follow.
In the reserve it is forbidden to:
- dig, hack, drill or otherwise damage rock, soil or stone
- cutting down or damaging living or dead trees or bushes
- damage vegetation by digging up plants
- drive a motorized vehicle.

The Tre backar nature reserve is located south-west of Lake Erken. The reserve can be reached by car from Kristineholmsvägen road.
Forskrifter
In order to protect the Tre backar nature reserve, please respect the following rules.
Within the reserve, it is forbidden to:
- dig, cut, drill or in any other way damage rock, soil or stone,
- fell or damage living or dead trees or bushes,
- damage vegetation by digging up plants,
- operate motorised vehicles.
