Biskopsö Nature Reserve covers an outer archipelago area with the large islands of Biskopsön and Kastön with the surrounding archipelago eight kilometers south of Nämdö. The easiest way to get here is by boat or boat taxi.

To protect the Biskopsö Nature Reserve, there are rules you must follow.

In the reserve it is forbidden to

1. destroy or damage any solid natural object or surface formation by drilling, hacking, blasting, carving, painting or the like
2. break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees or shrubs and damage vegetation in general by digging up rice, herbs, mosses or lichens
3. disturb wildlife, e.g. by climbing trees, catching or killing mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians
4. bring dogs or other pets that are not on a leash
5. camp in the same place for more than two consecutive days without the landowner's permission
6. anchor a boat in the same place for more than two consecutive days
7. anchor a boat on the shore of the private plot area on Biskopsön (the area is shown on the map in Appendix 1 of the decision)
8. make an open fire
9. pick Lesser butterfly-orchids or other orchids
10. organize regular boat trips to the reserve without the permission of the County Administrative Board
11. operate a motorized vessel at a speed of more than 7 knots within 100 meters of the shore
12. kill seals accidentally encountered during commercial fishing
13. during the period February 1-August 15, enter or navigate both land and water within seal protection area marked on the map in Appendix 1 of the decision
14. hunt throughout the year
15. fish within the seal protection area throughout the year
