Utsikt från Skogsö

A number of summer villas were built along the north-eastern shore of Skogsö in the early 1900s. There is also Skogsö gammelgård, a settlement that was first located in the middle of Skogsö but was moved out to Baggensfjärden. South of the built-up area is a stretch of beach with rocks, sand and a fine view of the bay. Perhaps a swim is in order? Near the viewpoint, finds have been made that indicate that this may have been where the Russian troops landed on Skogsö on August 13, 1719.
