Beskrivelse
Skevik was designated as a nature reserve in 1949 to protect the untouched pine forests there. The oldest pine trees here are over 300 years old - trees that started growing in the 1700’s! Look up into their old, crooked branches and ponder the passing of time. Can you spot a pine tree with a brown shelf fungus, red ring rot? The tree it's growing on is likely over 150 years old.
Continue along the red and yellow-marked trails just outside the reserve to get to the exciting Skevik Cave. The red and yellow-marked trails also connect to the longer hiking trail, Värmdöleden.
