The County Administrative Board advises visitors
against entering the nature reserve. This reserve has been subjected to
extensive infestations of the spruce bark beetle. Dead trees can fall suddenly
and without warning. Be careful and avoid visiting the nature reserve when it
is windy.
Spruce bark beetles attack living spruce trees and
then leave the trees. Thus, there are no bark beetles in dead trees.However,
dead trees are important for many other animals, mosses and lichens, that live
in the forest. The dead trees are therefore left within the reserve for the
sake of biological diversity.
Beskrivelse
Den gamla barrskogen i Kråkmyrens naturreservat har stått orörd under lång tid. Marken är kalkrik vilket bidragit till en rik och intressant flora, bland annat växer många sällsynta marksvampar här.
Inga friluftlivsanordningar, förutom informationsskyltar, finns i reservatet.

Veibeskrivelse
The nature reserve is located about 3 km west of Älmsta. It is most easily reached on foot from Massum, southwest of the reserve, or Toftinge, southeast of the reserve, where public roads lead. After that, private roads and forest roads take over. There are no parking lots next to the reserve.
The nearest bus stops are located at Massum and Toftinge, along road 283, about 1.5 km from the reserve as the crow flies.
Forskrifter
To protect the Kråkmyren nature reserve, there are rules you must follow.
In the area it is forbidden to
- dig, hack, drill or otherwise damage rock, soil or stone
- cutting down or damaging living or dead trees or bushes
- damage vegetation by digging up plants, removing mosses, lichens or woody fungi
- camping for more than two consecutive days.
