Beskrivelse
The reserve includes a shallow bay with a well-sheltered natural harbour on Hemholmen, 2 kilometres south of Möja. It is considered one of the best natural harbours in the archipelago. The shores are well suited for swimming, and the area features sparse pine forest growing on rocky ground.
There are no recreational facilities in the reserve apart from information signs.

The reserve includes a night harbor on Hemholmen, 2 kilometers south of Möja. The easiest way to get here is by boat.
Forskrifter
To protect the area, there are rules all visitors must follow.
In Hemholmens nature reserve it is forbidden to:
- destroy or damage any solid natural object or surface formation
- dig up flowers or damage ground vegetation (grass, moss or lichen cover)
- deliberately disturb wildlife (e.g. by climbing nest trees, removing bird eggs or taking close-up photographs of a bird's nest, lair, burrow or similar)
- bring a dog that is not on a leash
- camp for more than one day
- make a fire
- use a radio, gramophone, tape recorder or similar in a way that disturbs others.
