Bergaskogen

A varied natural area that is relatively easily accessible through well-prepared exercise trails. On the heights, rocky outcrops spread out with moss, heather and old rough pines. In the more low-lying areas, the forest is more varied with pine, spruce and leaves.

Nature

The area has both woodland and open land with high natural values. Those interested in botany can find several different types of rare orchids and mushrooms as well as the heather plant ryl in the forest. Just south of Bergaplan there is a hay meadow with a small spring, the meadow is called Berga källa. If you are lucky, you can see flowering wood anemones there in spring.

Outdoor life

The whole area is relatively accessible through the well-prepared tracks and network of paths that are here, which provide good conditions for both running and walking. In the forest, those who like to pick mushrooms and berries can find many finds. Runbyspår's trail center is located at Runby school, which offers everything from 2 km to 7.5 km long trails. In snowy winters, Väsby ski club builds ski tracks in several of the lighted trails and on the meadows at Vaxmyra. There is also an obstacle course (OCR) and barbecue area in the area.
