Beskrivelse
Kustheden Nyhamnsläge - Strandbaden stretches along the coast off Nyhamnsläge, a few kilometers north of Höganäs on the Kulla peninsula. The otherwise narrow strip of beach along the coast spreads out around an "island", a moraine ridge, which juts out into the sea at Kullens havsbad. The area is a remnant of the vast grazed commons that once covered large parts of the Kulla peninsula.
Old pastures with fine flora
The vegetation consists of varied areas of grass- and herb-rich heath, heather and crow grass, and bare sandy areas. The open landscape has been created with the help of the mules and hooves of grazing animals. In the reserve, you can find, among other things, bristlewort, sand sedge, creeping thyme, creeping willowherb, sea beet, toadflax, coastal rue, heath flowers, sandwort and sheep's fescue.
Two small watercourses, Skälebäcken and Norrfäladsdiket, flow through the area and out into Öresund. In the east, towards the settlement, there are areas of planted pine forest and some birch and oak groves.
Resting waterfowl
The shallow coastal area and the reef are of great importance for resting seabirds. Various waders, ducks and piping plovers are seen all year round. Several species nest on the reef itself and it is important not to go too close and disturb them during spring and summer. A concrete fort south of the reef is a good observation point.
Outdoor life
The coastal heath in Nyhamnsläge - Strandbaden has unmarked paths that can be combined with Skåneleden (SL5 Öresund, stage 4) which runs through the area. If you follow the Skåneleden trail northwards, you will get further out on the Kulla peninsula, to the coastal heath nature reserves in Nyhamnsläge - Lerhamn Link to another website. and later Möllehässle Link to another website.. Strandbaden's coastal heath has bathing-friendly, shallow beaches and rest areas. Remember to take your rubbish home. There are parking lots in the center and in the southern part. The nearest bus stops are Nyhamnsläge St Skärsvägen and Strandbaden Tallbacken, which is a few hundred meters to the east.

Full regulations for visitors
In addition to regulations and prohibitions in other laws and regulations, the following prohibitions apply:
- travel or remain during the period April 1 to July 15 within the area marked on the map, Appendix A
- remove, dig, drill, paint or otherwise damage soil, stone, stone walls, natural objects, cultural remains or the seabed
- ride a bicycle other than on public or private roads or specially designated cycle paths
- ride a motorized bicycle other than on a public or private road
- ride a horse. However, horse riding is permitted along the beach between the waterline and established vegetation outside the dunes between 15 September and 15 May. Access to the beach according to the map, appendix A
- camping, setting up equipment for overnight stays, setting up caravans, motor homes or similar
- make fires other than with an open-air kitchen
- bring a dog or other pet that is not kept on a physical leash
- use a music or sound system in a disruptive or noisy manner
- erect any form of construction or place any object foreign to the reserve
- dumping garden waste
- planting or sowing plants or introducing animals
- digging up plants
- drive or launch jet skis or similar craft
- take off or land by aircraft, or fly remotely operated unmanned aircraft such as drones at a height of less than 120 meters above mean sea level
- placing or erecting a notice, board, sign, poster or similar
Furthermore, it is prohibited without the written permission of the County Administrative Board:
17. place or set up a sign, orientation control or similar device other than temporarily, for a maximum of 10 days, provided that the contact details and date of installation are stated on the placed objects
18. arranging and organizing competitions or similar events
19. arranging and organizing camp activities or similar events
20. placing boats on the beach
