Beskrivelse
Görslövsåns mader is a wet bird paradise on the Kulla peninsula. In the flooded fields along the river, lots of geese, ducks and waders rest and nest. There is also a good chance of seeing birds of prey and storks. The area lacks facilities for outdoor recreation.
Marshes with rich bird life
The land along the Görslövsån river is regularly flooded. As the river flows into Skälderviken nearby, the water level in the area is affected both by rain and by sea level. These moors or hay meadows have long been used for harvesting hay. But the wetlands are also of great importance for bird life. Large numbers of geese, ducks and waders rest and nest in the area. And birds of prey are often seen hunting voles.
Straightened river with perch
Farmers in Kullabygden have straightened, widened and deepened the Görslövsån river on several occasions to create more arable land. The first draining was done in the late 1800s. There are plenty of perch in the river some years. There are also pike, eel and small fish such as roach and lutefisk.
Stone Age settlement
Until 2000 years ago, the Görslövsån valley was a sea strait, "Kulla-sundet". It connected Öresund and Skälderviken. The strait offered good conditions for hunting and fishing. People therefore settled in the area at an early stage. Several finds from the Stone Age bear witness to this. The finds suggest that the villages of Görslöv and Ornakärr are among the oldest settlements in Kullabygden.
Outdoor life
The area is periodically very wet. Parking is available but the area is largely lacking in facilities for outdoor life. Remember to take your trash home.

**Within the area, special rules and restrictions apply to the right of public access.
For example, it is forbidden to:
- have a dog unleashed
- camping outside the designated area
- setting up a caravan/mobile home
- barbecuing other than in the designated area
- disturbing wildlife
It is important to note that this is only a selection of the rules.
Full regulations for visitors
In addition to regulations and prohibitions in other laws and regulations, it is forbidden to:
- remove, dig, drill, paint or otherwise damage soil, stone, stone walls, natural objects or cultural remains
- ride a bicycle other than on public or private roads
- ride on anything other than a public or private road
- set up a caravan, camper van or similar
- camping or setting up equipment for overnight stays other than in a designated place and for longer than two days
- a) use a disposable barbecue; b) burn wood or charcoal or use a barbecue other than in a designated place
- bring a dog or other pet that is not kept on a physical leash
- use music or sound equipment in a disruptive or noisy manner
- erect any form of construction or place any object foreign to the reserve
- deliberately disturbing grazing animals or bird life
- planting or sowing plants or introducing animals
- digging up plants
- riding a motorized bicycle other than on a public or private road
- operate a motorized watercraft such as a boat
- take off or land by aircraft or fly remotely operated unmanned aircraft, such as drones, at a height of less than 120 meters above mean sea level
- placing or erecting a billboard, poster, sign, poster or similar
Furthermore, it is prohibited without the written permission of the County Administrative Board:
17. place or set up a sign, orientation control or similar device other than temporarily, for a maximum of 10 days, provided that the contact details and date of installation are indicated on the placed objects
18. arrange and organize competitions or similar events.
