Beskrivelse
Alkärret in Haboljung is a municipal reserve located just north of Lomma town. Alkärret is located between Södra Västkustvägen and the beach and has very high natural values. Over 225 different vascular plants have been found here, including sword lily, toadstool and thistle. The reserve also has a rich spider fauna.
An undisturbed alder marsh
Alder bogs are forests that grow on very wet ground. Silver birch, which dominates in the reserve, can withstand being under water during snowmelt and after heavy rain, when water levels can be much higher than normal. Many alder swamps have been drained and felled to make way for more agricultural land, making it a rare forest type. The alpine meadow in Haboljung was grazed until the 1970s, but after grazing ceased, the area began to grow back and slowly take on its current appearance.
More than 200 plants
The reserve contains a varied environment with meadows, groves, bushes and damp areas with both open water and more overgrown. Over 225 different vascular plants have been recorded in the area, including sword lily, toadstool and thistle, as well as the poisonous plants hemlock and spearwort. The rare silver maple tree also grows in the reserve.
Wildlife in the alder marsh
Birds such as nightingales, cuckoos, pheasants and water rails thrive in the alder marsh. The reserve is home to a rich spider fauna and, among other things, the marsh moon spider has previously been found - a very unusual species that in Sweden has only been found here and in Klagshamn.

**Within the area, special rules and restrictions apply to the right of public access.
For example, it is forbidden to:
- keeping dogs off-leash in the wooded areas
- make fires outside the designated areas
- camping
- setting up a caravan/mobile home
- stay overnight
- horse riding
- cycling outside designated roads
It is important to note that this is only a selection of the rules.
Full regulations for visitors
In addition to regulations and prohibitions in other laws and regulations, it is forbidden to:
- dig, drill, paint or otherwise damage soil and rock
- break branches, fell or otherwise damage living or dead trees and shrubs or otherwise damage vegetation by digging up plants such as rice, herbs, mosses or lichens or removing woody fungi
- bring an unleashed dog or other loose pet into the tree areas; otherwise, hunting legislation applies
- disturb, collect or kill animals
- put up a board, poster, poster, sign, signpost, make an inscription or similar
- use a music or sound system in a disruptive manner and use or drive vehicles or machines in a disruptive manner
- riding a bicycle other than on a designated road
- drive a motorized vehicle or other craft, with the exception of assistive vehicles required to overcome disabilities
- light an open fire other than in a specially designated and prepared place if available
- dumping waste such as garden waste, compost material, stones, rubbish or similar in the area
- camp, set up a caravan, camping car or equivalent or otherwise stay overnight
- fishing or otherwise catching fish and stocking fish
- hunt or use any kind of firearm except for protective hunting
- organize competitions without the permission of the municipality
- ride a horse
